Based around an acoustic guitar, Eyeswide is rock with a funky hard groove that keeps toes tapping throughout. This original music project has the unique ability to linger on - you'll find yourself singing the tunes in your sleep. The writing is provocative and edgy, a window into one man's observations of life. Adding to his strong musical performance, Neil has a stage presence that dominates, luring the captive attention of an audience tempted by his hard pounding rhythms and the melodious sanctity of his slower lyrical songs. The music has been compared to Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews and Fall Out Boy.
Eyeswide started out as a solo acoustic project fronted by lead singer/songwriter Neil Crowe, playing his Eyeswide sets all around the General Toronto area. He has opened for bands all around Ontario such as Nine Mile, Last Night, Bob Charters and more. He has played The Promenade Days festival in Downtown Barrie, charity events such as Summer Songs of Hope, recorded by Rogers TV, and U-Turn Rock and Stroll, and won The Open Mic Jam competition at The British Arms three times running. Neil also ran his own music showcase called "An Evening With Lovers And Thieves" in the summer of 2009 showcasing 4 original artists. As well as playing live on Toronto radio station CIUT 89.5, and Northern Ontario stations FNA Radio as well as Lakehead University's CILU 102.7.
