It comes as no surprise to anyone familiar with local up and coming country artist Stacey Jamieson that she would end up on the stage because it was obvious from an early age that the stage was exactly where she needed to be. Stacey’s musical journey began at the age of 12 as a member of the local musical theatre company, the “Strolling Youth Players”, and continued from there with numerous talent shows, festivals and an invitation to sing “Santa Baby” for the Rock95/Koolfm Christmas CD in 2006.
It’s been a slow and steady climb for Stacey, garnering her a strong and loyal fan base along the way, and the only question now is “How far is she going to take this?” For Stacey there’s only one answer to that question, “I’m going to take this all the way to the top; it’s go big or go home, and I’m not going home!”
It’s been a great year for Stacey; she was a guest performer for country band ‘After Tuesday’ at the 2009 Barrie Earth Hour Music Festival, she travelled to Vancouver in September 2009 to attend the Canadian Country Music Awards and to connect with people in the industry, she won the KICX106 North of Nashville Star contest which gave her the opportunity to open for the Wilkinson’s at Barrie’s Kempenfest Waterfront Festival and she has been busy writing and recording in Nashville for her debut CD to be released in late 2010.
Stacey’s music ranges from kickin’, honky tonkin , jump up and sing along tunes to beautiful, heartbreaking ballads. She captivates her audience with her clear, powerful voice and her amazing talent and stage presence. Her charismatic performance will draw you in and make you a fan from the first moment you see her on the stage. You will leave wanting more - and there will be more; Stacey’s career is just beginning and there is nowhere for her to go but up from here...
